To enhance the technical skills and practical knowledge of students, a Mobile Repairing and Servicing Workshop was organized at St. Vincent Pallotti College, Raipur from 01/04/2025 to 09/04/2025. The workshop was aimed at equipping students with the fundamental knowledge of mobile hardware, software troubleshooting, and basic repairing techniques. The event was organized by the Department of Computer Science. The session was conducted by Mr. Digeshwar Maheshwar, a mobile repair technician with 10 years of experience.
The primary objectives of the workshop were:
1. To familiarize students with the internal components of mobile phones.
2. To teach basic troubleshooting methods for common mobile issues.
3. To demonstrate the use of tools and equipment used in mobile servicing.
4. To provide hands-on experience in mobile repairing.
The workshop saw active participation from over 60 students across various departments. Students with an interest in electronics, mobile technology, and gadget repair were particularly enthusiastic.
The workshop covered the following modules:
· Introduction to Mobile Phone Technology
· Identification of Mobile Components, including Motherboard
· Tools Used in Mobile Repairing
· Basic Fault Diagnosis, dismantling and assembling phones
· Software Installation and Flashing
· Practical Demonstrations
· Replacing components like screens
· Hands-on Practice Session
Students gained a better understanding of mobile technology and repair techniques. Many students expressed interest in pursuing mobile repair as a part-time job or entrepreneurial venture. Certificates of participation were distributed to all attendees. The feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive. They appreciated the practical exposure and requested for more such skill-based workshops in the future.
The Mobile Repairing and Servicing Workshop was a valuable initiative that empowered students with useful technical skills. Principal of the college Dr. Kuldeep Dubey and Vice Principal Dr. G. All the teachers of the Computer Science Department have worked hard towards the planning and execution of the event.
