Students of B.Ed Semester IV organized Thanks Giving ceremony reminiscing yet another year of hard work and achievements.

The event took place in the Seminar Hall and was graced by the Principal Dr. Kuldeep Dubey, Vice-Principal Dr. G. Padma Gouri, HOD Education, Dr. R. Gayatri Iyengar, and Staff members. The students welcomed the management, staff and fellow students with a classical welcome dance. To mark an auspicious beginning and to propitiate grace from God above, the programme commenced by invoking the blessings of the Almighty through lamp lighting followed by a prayer song.

After this students shared their experience of past two years through poems and an act thanking the teachers for all the guidance and facilities they received during their B.Ed Course. This was followed by the address of the class teacher, Mrs. Yashaswee Lonkar, who enlightened the students with her inspirational speech and motivated and mentored the students to live a happy and contended life ahead. The Principal in his speech motivated the students to be popular teachers and cope with challenges with courage.

The program culminated by the proposal of a vote of thanks by a student. It was indeed a day that left the audience in awe and admiration for the institution.

St. Vincent Pallotti College is always keen for exploring different methods for the overall development of personality of its students.

In this sequence Department of Education of the  College organized ‘Certificate course in Personality Development’ for the B.Ed. IV semester students from 20.02.2020 to 24.03.2020 .The course included modules like Spoken English, interview skills, resume  making, Body language, Communication skills etc.  

The skill was taught and drilled through various activities by the faculty of the B.Ed. department. The whole course was accomplished in three phases-

  1. Interactive classes on language and communication skill.
  2. Body language and Body Posture.
  3. Preparation of a Proper resume and Practice of Interview Skill through LBD ( Learning by Doing)

 The last phase visualizes a mock interview for the students. The mock interview was a simulated feature of the real one. This was followed by feedback to each and every student about their positives and negatives of their interview.

The course was concluded with a concluding ceremony .In the ceremony certificates were delivered by the Director and the Principal the college.

The course was successfully accomplished. The course was designed by the senior faculty members of the Department of Education keeping in view the needs and weaknesses of the B.Ed students. It was a step ahead taken for the benefit of students.

Students become more excited about learning when the smart boards are incorporated into the lesson. Department of Education organized a Smart Board (Brio Touch) Training session for the students of B.Ed semester II & IV to enable students to learn and explore new concepts using technology to create a more dynamic learning experience under the expertise of Mr. Gaurav Gupta.

The objectives of the session were as follows:

  • To enable students to identify the tools available in smart board.
  • To make them evaluate digital tools and their use in the classroom.
  • To improve practice in teaching with digital technologies.
  • To make them understand how and when to incorporate digital tools and technology in useful and creative ways.
  • To enable them to experiment and innovate with digital technologies to develop effective study practices.

 

The instructor gave a detailed demonstration of the smart board. The students enjoyed the fruitful training session and also tried their hands on the different features of the smart board.

It was a great learning experience for all the students and it will definitely help the teacher-trainees to cope with the technological changes and incorporate technology in their teaching effectively.


St. Vincent Pallotti College always aims for the all round development of the students. With the objective of propelling awareness towards healthy and tasty food and inculcating entrepreneurship among students combined with entertainment, a grand healthy food fest ‘Cherish and Relish’ was organized by the Department of Education on  21 /01/23. The college free zone was filled with colorful stalls, palatable, pleasant aroma of food and cheerful talks and laughter of students. Twenty five stalls with nearly fifty different healthy food items were ready to Serve.

 The objective of healthy food was successfully achieved as all the items were not only healthy with nutritive value but also highly palatable. Some of them are mixed fruit salad, guava punch-chaat, healthy gupo-chupo,  Lassi kesar,duska- chatni etc. The program was inaugurated by the Director of the college, Principal and Vice Principal. Selling and purchasing of food items were through coupons for convenience. All the food items were full of taste and all the students and staff of the college really cherished and relished them.

 The fest was concluded with cheer claps of students and all the people present there.

ndia is a country of diverse cultures and traditions, a glimpse of these diversities is seen in the festivals of Indian folk life. Indian folk festivals are impressive platforms for the presentation of folk dances. The festival of Indian folk dance competition was organized by the Cultural Club, Department of Education, St. Vincent Pallotti College on 12th November 2020. Utsav, the festival of Indian folk dance was an inter club group competition in which participants of various clubs of Department of Education took part. Folk dance forms of Punjab, Rajasthan, Mizoram, Assam, Odisha, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh etc. were selected from different states of India for this competition, which were distributed among various clubs through chit system.

The main objective of the competition: -

  1. To showcase the diversity of Indian folk culture and festivals of folk life.
  2. To propagate and disseminate the folk language.
  3. To provide a platform to the students for the performance of various folk cultures.

The competition was duly inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Mrs. R. Gayatri Iyengar, Head of the Education Department and leaders of various clubs. After that various clubs scattered their colorful presentations on the stage. Theme, presentation, song choreography and coordination were the criteria of evaluation. The judges of the competition were all the teachers of the Education department. The winners of the competition were as follows: –

Semester III –   First             - ECO Club                  -   Bamboo Dance

  Second        - Innovative Club         -   Haryanvi Dance

Semester I -      First             ­- Literary Club              -  Sambalpuri Dance

                         Second         - Innovative Club         -   South Indian Dance

 

All the winners were honored by certificates. The competition was arranged by the students of Cultural Club of Semester I, who at the end of the event performed brilliantly on Indian festivals like Holi, Navratri, Eid and Christmas. All the teachers and students of B.Ed. thoroughly enjoyed the event.

Playing a sport is a great way for children to take a break from academics and release the pent-up energy. It also helps them lead fuller and happier lives as regular sports and fitness activities have proven to provide not only physical benefits but also social and psychological benefits to the students.

 

H2F club of Department of Education organized an exhilarating inter club sports activity named Chakma (Dodge ball) for the students of B. Ed Semester I, in the lush green free zone of St. Vincent Pallotti College,

Objectives of the game-

  • To develop problem-solving skills and encourage teamwork
  • To reduce stress
  • To boost self esteem
  • To develop emotion-management skills
  • To improve social skills

The students of all the four clubs were at their best. Spontaneity and confidence were the hallmark of the competition; the match was full of vigor and excitement. All the members of different clubs gave the best of their efforts and displayed their excellent skills and performance

Innovative Club and literary Club reached the final round. Both the clubs were coordinating their best to give tough competition to the opponent team. Students of Innovative Club won the match.

At the end, HOD of Education, Mrs. R. Gayatri Iyengar announced the winners and congratulated them. She also appreciated the efforts of the members of H2F club for systematic organization of the game.


बी.एड. विभाग सेंट विन्सेंट पैलोटी महाविद्यालय के प्रथम सेमेस्टर के विद्यार्थीयों के लिए ग्राम जरोदा में एक दिवसीय ग्रामीण शिविर का आयोजन दिनांक 20/10/2022 को किया गया | इस शिविर का मुख्य उद्देश्य विद्यार्थीयों को उनके समुदाय से जोड़ना एवं सामुदायिक कर्तव्यों से अवगत कराना था | एक दिवसीय कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत प्रभात फेरी से की गयी जिसका शुभारम्भ सरपंच श्री शेखर ध्रुव द्वारा किया गया | प्रभात फेरी के माध्यम से ग्राम वासियों को स्वच्छता, स्वास्थ्य, पर्यावरण, शिक्षा एवं जल के महत्त्व के नारों के द्वारा जागरूक किया गया |

           तत्पश्चात प्राथमिक शाला एवं उच्च माद्यमिक शाला में बी.एड. के विद्यार्थीयों के द्वारा विभिन्न शैक्षणिक, खेल कूद, क्राफ्ट, वृक्षारोपण, महिला एवं स्वास्थ्य शिक्षा आदि गतिविधियां करवाई गयी |इन सभी गतिविधियों में शाला के विद्यार्थीयों ने बड़े ही उत्साह से भाग लिया | खेल कूद एवं चित्रकारी प्रतियोगिता का भी आयोजन किया गया |

           सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम में बी.एड .के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा छत्तीसगढ़ी  नृत्य एवं नुक्कड़ नाटक का प्रदर्शन किया गया। नुक्कड़ नाटक के माध्यम से शिक्षा के बोझ को कम करने एवं विद्यार्थियों की योग्यता एवं रूचि के अनुरूप शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने की सीख दी गई। बी. एड .के विधार्थियों द्वारा शाळा के विधार्थियों को नृत्य का प्रशिक्षण दिया गया एवं सिखाये गए नृत्य का प्रदर्शन सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम के दौरान करवाया गया । ग्राम जरौदा के सरपंच श्री शेखर ध्रुव, जनपद अध्यक्ष चंद्रशेखर वर्मा, भूतपूर्व सरपंच ईश कुमार साहू के द्वारा सेंट विन्सेंट पैलोटी महाविद्यालय के बी.एड. विभाग के इस आयोजन हेतु बधाई दी गयी साथ ही भविष्य में ऐसे और आयोजन करवाने की मांग की गयी |

           इस कार्यक्रम में ग्राम के सरपंच, जनपद अध्यक्ष, पूर्व सरपंच, पूर्व प्राचार्य, पंच एवं ग्राम वासी बड़ी संख्या में उपस्थित रहे |

 

सेंट विन्सेंट पैलोटी महाविद्यालय बी.एड. विभाग के समस्त शिक्षक गण एवं प्रथम सेमेस्टर के विद्यार्थीयों द्वारा एक दिवसीय (जरोदा गाँव) ग्रामीण शिविर का आयोजन सफलतापूर्वक किया गया |

A one week induction program ‘ Parichay’ was organized  for the fresh entrants of B.Ed Semester- I of session 2022 -2023 .The objective of this program was to familiarize the students  to the new environment and get them acquainted with the institution. The induction program comprised of team building activities and orientation sessions.

 Objectives of the induction program were to prepare students to be academically successful by:

  • Providing information about the resources that will help students in their academic plans and making healthy social choices.
  • Creating a welcoming environment that build a sense of community among the incoming class and connect them to Faculty, staff and other students.
  • Providing a framework for 2 years of success through communication of expectations, norms and standards.
  • Creating a sense of belongingness towards the institution.

The induction program started with welcoming the new batch followed by orientation session in which students were first made aware of the program outcome and then were informed by the course outcomes of the individual subject. An activity named-“Map your resources” were organized to get them acquainted with the resources available in the college campus for better adaptation of the institution. An ice breaking session was organized for the new comers to help them to adjust with peers. The induction program was concluded with the cultural program on 20/09/2022 in which many games and activities were conducted by the students of B.Ed Semester-III for the new batch. The closing ceremony was glorified by the presence of the Director of the college- Rev.Fr. Amit Tirkey, The Principal Dr. Kuldeep Dubey, Vice Principal Dr. G. Padma Gouri, all the staff members and students of both the semesters. The Director highlighted the importance of a teacher and their duties. He also informed about various resources that the college provides to students. Principal welcomed them and talked about various achievements of the college. The students spent the whole week interacting with each other and knowing the faculty members.


A Zumba session was organized for the students of B.Ed Sem III by the H2F club of the Department of Education on 16th July, 2022.The volunteers of H2F club put up a high impact and super energetic workout for the students to which no one could stop grooving.

This activity took place in the morning; it began with a warm up session consisting of routines with easy movements to stretch the body and prepare the muscles for greater range of motions. The second session was the workout session which included movements to achieve cardiovascular fitness level. The final session was the cool down session consisting of stretching routine designed to increase flexibility and bring heart rate to a normal state.

The session was efficiently organized by the students of H2F club under the guidance of the club In-charge Mrs. Aayesha Hendricks. All the students enjoyed the power packed one hour with full enthusiasm and attention.

A seven days ALM [Active Learning Methodology ] workshop was organized by the Department of Education from 12/7/2022 to 19/07/ 2022 for the students of semester III. The workshop was very fruitful for the students. It was to acquaint and make student -teachers better equipped with  new methods and techniques of teaching- learning. It helped the students to enhance the learning and creativity in the field of teaching .

Students worked in groups. The techniques and methods dealt were  Chronologue, WH- template, Mind mapping, Educational games, Sloke- Sutra, Cloze test , Database questions ,Quiz  etc. The workshop was very beneficial and enjoyable for the students. For each technique students presented their work at the end of the session.

The workshop was concluded with simulation and feedback session.
