2021-22

“Dance Carnival -semi folk group dance” which was held on 11.4.2022 in the college Seminar hall at 12 pm. All the students of each club of Education department   participated in this programme with zeal and enthusiasm. The program was organized under the supervision of Mrs. Ramola Vikas Dan and the event was started by Sonali Ekka Sem - IV and Pratima Sem - II. The students were judged on the basis of song selection, expression, entertainment, co-ordination and overall performance.

Each club performed in their own unique way. The competition provided a platform to the students to portray different cultures. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances and this was the reflection on their passion and hard work. The results were declared by judges Mrs.Bani Saha and Mrs. Aayesha Hendricks.

  • The first position was bagged by ‘Literary Club’ of Sem – II students on the song ‘Dara Lor ge’ (Chhattisgarhi).
  • Second position was won by ‘Innovative Club’ of Sem – IV students on the song ‘Sawar Loon’ (Bihu Fusion).

All the teachers congratulated the winners and encouraged them to participate more in such competitions to enhance their talents. The programme was concluded by vote of thanks which was proposed by Kamala Mary Sem-IV. The event was a huge success and a treat to watch.

Art and craft is a presentation and expressions of ideas and feelings in images, gestures and in movement. The teaching of art and craft enriches sensory, emotional, intellectual and creative aspects by providing enjoyable and aesthetic experiences. To enhance holistic development of teacher trainees, art and craft workshop was organized by the department of Education. The Resource person of the workshop was   Dr.Neena Rathi, Guest faculty, a renowned art and craft artist of chhattisgarh region . Trainees learned various forms of art and craft like warli art, Clay art, Glass painting, Quilling paper art and many more. The workshop was filled with energy and passion as the trainees were motivated to learn, explore and grow.

Education Department of St.Vincent Pallotti organized one week Interactive Theatre workshop from 09/05/2022 to 14/05/2022.The workshop was conducted by Mr. Abhishek Choudhary an eminent theatre personality of Chhattisgarh region. The workshop aimed at enhancing interactive, social, communication and other soft skills among teacher trainees. The artist engaged the teacher trainees in many enlivening activities and games in which they participated enthusiastically. The workshop comprised of different aspects of acting ranging from Concenteration, observation, emotional memory, 9 rasa exercises, public speaking, understanding the harmony of mind, body and voice.

Conclusion:

The workshop provided an opportunity for the participants to express, explore and overcome their inhibitions, fears, and desires. It was indeed a stimulating and edifying workshop which concluded on a cheerful note and self- realization that the theatre can be used as imperative tool for further learning and refining one’s own personality.

The seminar hall of St. Vincent Pallotti College, Kapa, Raipur (C.G) echoed with the blessings on the morning of 6th May 2022 when Department of Education family came together to bid farewell to the outgoing 2020-22 batch of B. Ed 4th Semester students. It was the morning of mixed emotions for all present at the college seminar hall to witness the official send-off for the B. Ed 4th semester students at the valedictory ceremony 2021-22. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments. The Seminar hall was festooned appropriately keeping in mind the theme ‘Retro-Bollywood-King & Queen’ with white & red balloons, the backdrop in black and golden balloons. Students of B.Ed. 2nd semester from Education Department had organized farewell party with great enthusiasm and of course endeavoured to leave a trail of nostalgia behind for the seniors.

       It was a beautiful morning, the sun shining brightly as the batch of 2020-22 showed up, dressed in their finery. The young ladies glowed in colourful sarees and gowns whereas gentlemen carried themselves smartly in formals. Elegantly dressed, the outgoing students entered the college seminar hall at 12:30 pm and they were well received by B. Ed 2nd semester students. In the foyer a selfie zone was made where all the senior batch students could have selfies with their friends. Everyone took the opportunity to get them clicked.

The event began with a welcome poem followed by a mesmerizing welcome song, the cultural programme unfolded with plethora of items like group dance, solo dance (Moon walk), Nagpuri dance. Games like Apple- Mango-Jalebi, paper dance, lucky chair and musical chair added spice to the event.

The tag of King and Queen was won by Abhinav Mukherjee and Nafeesa Noor on the other hand Praful Tirkey & Shweta Shetu Ekka were crowned as Mr. & Miss Farewell. Thereafter Students of B.Ed Sem II presented a token of love and appreciation to their seniors. The program ended with a beautiful farewell song which reminded them of their yesteryears and home away from home.

That day become unforgettable for all the students. The nostalgic students of the final year had a splendid time together and recollected their college days. The entire program was successfully organized by juniors and they wished their seniors a bright future.

Placement cell of St.Vincent Pallotti college is dedicated to provide a platform where students  get opportunities to participate in the activities and events  pertaining to their future placement. One of the main objective of placement cell is to prepare students for campus placement by conducting activities like Personality Development classes, Group discussion and Mock interview session. Department of Education of St.Vincent Pallotti College conducted Campus Placement Drive on 02/04/2022 for the students of B.Ed Semester – IV. The placement drive aimed at providing ample opportunities to the students to get placement in reputed schools of Chhattisgarh where they can serve the institutions through their competencies. The inaugural function commenced with Lighting of Lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. Principal, Dr.Kuldeep Dubey welcomed all the Principals and Incharges of the participating schools of campus placement Drive. Head of Department of Education, Mrs. Gayatri Iyengar  introduced  the  event and made audience aware of the objectives and functioning of Placement cell of St.Vincent Pallotti College. Total nine Schools from Raipur and other districts of Chhattisgarh state visited the campus for the placement drive. Teacher trainees of B.Ed Semester- IV and Alumni of the institution participated with remarkable zeal. It was a mesmerizing event as it witnessed the enthusiasm of the participants and support rendered by the delegates of schools. The activity was carried out tirelessly by the placement cell team of students  under the guidance and supervision of Placement cell incharge Mrs. Yashswee  Lonkar. It was an ecstatic moment for the institution to host the campus placement drive with the assurance that the association with the participating schools would strengthen in future.

St. Vincent Pallotti College is always keen for exploring different methods for the overall development of personality of its students.

In this sequence it opens up a platform in the form of --MOVIE MAKING FEST for students to bring out the future directors and movie makers. In this context St. Vincent Pallotti College is in practice of arranging the FEST since-2018 .This year the FEST was organized on 12/03/2022 by the department of Education as an inter                          Departmental Activity.

The programme commenced with auspicious note of lighting of lamp and welcoming of the dignitaries and the judges.

Thereafter, the movies were displayed .

Some of the prominent pocket movies were-

1.Misunderstood Norms–Made by the Department of Management of BBA  II Semester students .This dealt with the bad conduct in our society for both the genders. Like -   Suicidal cases , ragging, teasing , physical , harassment, abuse etc.

  1. Adversity Makes you or Breaks you - Made by the Department of Education Semester IV. This movie reflects the harsh reality of Covid time. But society and government came forward to help Covid victims and recreated their lives.
  2. Two faces of India - Made by the Department of Management BBA semester IV .This movie dealt with the language barrier in our daily life .
  3. 50 Rupay - Made by the Department of Education Semester II. This movie was about a transgender mother. This movie projected the humanitarian qualities [motherhood] of a transgender.

First prize was won by the movie ’50 RUPAY’ , second was by ‘MISUNDERSTOOD NORMS’ and third was by ‘Adversity Makes you or Breaks you’-standing against COVID-hazards.

The programme was followed by the Principal’s speech. He encouraged the students for their creative and inspirational presentation of the movies and awarded the winners with medals and certificates. The program was concluded by vote of thanks followed by National Anthem .

Parent - Teacher Meeting was convened by the Department of Education for B.Ed Semester - IV and Semester – II students on 05/03/2022 over Zoom platform. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss with parents about the progress of their wards and also to make them aware of the forthcoming events of the department. The meeting also intended to invite suggestions from parents for providing better and effective learning environment for students. Principal, Dr. Kuldeep Dubey and Vice – Principal, Dr.G. Padma Gouri welcomed the parents and addressed the meeting. Class teachers of Semester- II, and Semester – IV, Mrs. Yashswee Lonkar, Dr. Shraddha Verma, Mrs. Bani Shah and Mrs. Ramola coordinated the meeting. The Parent-Teacher meeting was conducive and fruitful as it reflected upon the ward’s progress and valuable suggestions were also shared by the parents.   

We know that every single one of us has the ability to make a difference, large or small, and that together we can make real progress in reducing the global impact of cancer.

Keeping that in view an online rangoli making competition was organized on 5th February, 2022 by the Cultural club of the Education Department on the occasion of World Cancer Day. The theme of the day was ‘Together we will change”.

The students made beautiful rangolis from the comfort of their home within the stipulated time and sent the pictures of their rangoli along with a catchy tagline through whatsapp. They were judged on the basis of creativity, tagline and adherence to theme.

 Participants from different clubs made creative and colorful Rangolis to create awareness about cancer and its prevention. Ratna Giri from H2F club bagged 1st position, Kirat Kewat from Literary Club and Shweta Ekka from H2F Club secured 2nd position and 3rd position was secured by Prachi verma of Innovative club. All the winners were awarded with E-Certificates. The jugde of the competition was Mrs. Aayesha Hendricks and  the  incharge was Mrs. Ramola Vikas Dan. 

This Rangoli making competition motivated the students to perform their social duties. The event overall marked a huge success.

A cultural activity of “अंतर्नाद INTERCLUB NUKKAD NATAK” was organized by department of education

which was held on 11th of December 2021,on Saturday from 10.20 am onwards at the free zone.

 

The planning of the program involved the participation of Sem. I and Sem. III student of B.Ed. department and the students of other department were the audience. 

 

The objectives of Nukkad Natak are:-

  • It serves as a metaphor that captures an image of moral nature which every layman can relate to.
  • It helps to create a sense of awareness in the community in which we live.
  • It unites the people from different walks of life breaking the conventions of theatre.
  • It helps to ignite the minds of the students to tackle with social issues by taking their right to freedom of speech.Six street plays on the burning topics –Digital Detoxification, Road safety, COVID-19 vaccination & cleanliness were played by the students of B.Ed semester-1st from various clubs like career wings , H2F club, eco club, literary club, extension club of education department.

     

    Students of B.Ed Semester-3rd were the judges of this activity.

    The purpose of the activity was fulfilled as the participants were successful in making the audience aware of the need of cleanliness, Road safety, and Digital detoxification. The young actors of B.Ed semester-1st were lauded for leaving an incredible mark on the minds of the audience through their flawless performances. After the excellent performances of the participants the results were declared by Principal Dr. Kuldeep Dubey. At the end of the momentous event, Principal Dr. Kuldeep Dubey & teachers shared their positive opinion about the event & appreciated the club members for their dedication, hard work, perseverance & success. The results of the activity were as follows:-

    • 1st- H2F Club - Cleanliness.
    • 2nd Cultural Club- Road Safety - (PAGAL HAI KYA)

     

    The winning team was given an opportunity to perform at Vivekanand Sarovar, Raipur under the collaboration with Green Army to make the public aware of the hazardous effect of plastic. The team which bagged the second prize performed at Govt. H.S. School, Mowa  to make the students aware about road safety.

A one week Induction Program “Parichay” was organized for the fresh entrants of B.Ed Sem I. The objective of this program was to acclimatize the students to the new environment and get them acquainted with the institution’s culture. The induction program comprised of team building activities and orientation sessions. The rationale for induction was to ensure a smooth transition for the students into the university system.

The objectives of the Induction program were to prepare students to be academically successful by:

  • Providing information and resources that will allow students to make informed and appropriate academic plans and healthy social choices;
  • Creating a welcoming environment that builds a sense of community among the incoming class and connects them to faculty, staff and other students;
    • Providing a framework for two years of success through the communication of expectations, norms and standards.
    • Initiation for the integration of newly admitted first-year and transfers the students into the academic, cultural, and social climate of the Institution.
    • Creating a sense of belonging towards the institution. The Induction Program started with welcoming the new batch followed by orientation sessions in which the students were first made aware of the Program outcome and then were informed about the course outcomes of individual subjects. An activity named – Map your resources was organized to get them acquainted with the resources available in the College campus for better adaptation of the Institutional culture. An Ice breaking session- First Year got talent was organized for the new comers to help them in adjusting with their peers. The Induction Program concluded with a cultural program in which many games and activities were conducted by the students of B.Ed Sem III for the new batch.

      The students spent the whole week interacting with each other and knowing the faculty members in a fun-filled environment. The Induction program was fruitful enough to help them to adjust themselves in the College environment.

The context- Today Indian education system needs teachers who are flexible, creative ,proactive, who can solve problems ,make decision, think critically and communicate ideas effectively among the students .

In order to inculcate and enhance these skills in the students of B.Ed, an ALM workshop is conducted every year in our college.

The Practice- A 3 days workshop is conducted in the college for the students of Education Department -Semester III on 25, 26 and 27 October 2021. A proper timetable of all the methods to be taught is prepared along with the names of the supervising teachers. It is to acquaint and make student- teachers better equipped with new methods and techniques of teaching learning, their use and to enhance the learning and creativity of the student-teachers in the field of teaching-learning process.

 The most common techniques and methods dealt are KIM, Chronologue, WH -template, mind maps, Jig-saw, educational games etc..

Every day one or two methodologies are worked upon.

This is done in four phases

 

  1. The method is elaborately explained by the teacher.

 

  • The students vigorously practice on them in groups or as the teacher guides.

 

  1. Each group gives a presentation in front of the whole class about what they have prepared.

 

  1. The teaching-Learning materials thus prepared are stored in Pedagogy labs for future use during internship by the students.
  2. Learning Outcomes

    • Students were able to understand the concept of each of the methods and apply them.
    • They were able to realize the need and importance of using such tools for teaching learning Students were able to incorporate different active methods in their pedagogies.
    • Students enjoy learning during Also, manifests ‘learning by doing.’

 Department of Education organized an exhibition on EDUCATIONAL TOYS on 23th October 2021 for the students of Nai Talim: A skill based learning .Students of both sections A and B of B.Ed semester lll  participated actively in the exhibition. They decorated and reorganized their classes for the exhibition and displayed their toys. They gave a beautiful and detailed explanation of the concept behind their craft.

Objectives:

The objective behind the exhibition was -

  • To give amazing learning experience.
  • To learn to satisfy the learners.
  • To learn to provide a resource to develop interest.
  • To learn to provide a resource to develop curiosity.
  • To learn to provide a resource to develop enthusiasm in their learners.
  • To create a profound comprehension of knowledge and continued interest in learning process.

 Some of the educational toys made were bottle hand fan, math’s puzzle, word game, water dispenser, number games etc.

The exhibition showcased the innovative side of students. The educational toys displayed were helpful in developing a fun learning environment for students. The toys were submitted for evaluation in the Nai Talim lab.

Fr. Shanti Prakash Panna, Director, along with the Principal Dr.Kuldeep Dubey, Vice Principal, Dr.G. Padma Gouri.H.O.D. Mrs.R.Gayatri..Iyengar along with all the staff member of the department visited the exhibition and encouraged the creative and innovative aspect of the students . They praised the efforts of students and congratulated for putting their best foot forward.

After a long period of two sessions [covid era], the students of semester III arrived in the college campus for the first time. Its time to join the offline classes and thereby know the college. Department of Education has an unique method to make the students explore the college and get acquainted with its different areas. On 9/10/2021 a ‘LET’S EXPLORE THE COLLEGE’ competition was organized for the students of B.Ed. Clues in the form of photos were provided in what’s up group at a specific interval. Following the clues, students had to search the place and take selfies with it .Likewise the whole college was explored which helped them to know the areas at an instance. This was an activity ‘to kill two birds with one stone’ which brought immense enjoyment as well as acquaintance with the college

Students of B.Ed semester IV organized Thanks Giving ceremony on 26/10/2021 to express their heartfelt gratitude and thankfulness towards the institution and teachers of department of Education.

The Ceremony was  an offline programme held after long period of covid terror. It was organized in the Seminar Hall in the precious presence of Respected Director, Principal, Asst. Director , Vice Principal, HOD of Education department and teachers along with semester IV  students.

As a tradition the programme was initiated with lighting the auspicious lamp by the dignitaries and all the teachers .This  was followed by beautiful dance and songs performed by the students.After this  Students shared their experience of two years and thanked for all the  guidance and  facilities  they received from their teachers through online mode and  were never left alone.  The Director of the college, Rev . Fr. Shanti Prakash Panna motivated the students to be good teachers and delivered good wishes in his addressal  speech. Principal ,Dr. Kuldeep Dubey encouraged the students to face all challenges bravely in their future life. Vice Principal, Dr. G. Padma Gouri, HOD of the department , Mrs. Gayatri Iyengar as well as all the teachers extended their best  wishes for their future and motivated to do their job  with full involvement.

Virus maybe striking hard to keep the mankind within the walls but the aesthetic mind cannot be limited and bounded by any force. As the universe moves and nature blooms at its own, students of education department of Pallotti College moves with glee to capture few moments and beauty of nature to participate in the photography activity organized by Department of Education on International Photography Day i.e. on 19/08/2021.Excellent scenes were captured, excellent artistic vision were displayed through every snap they clicked. More than 95% of the students took part in this event. Since it is pandemic situation, students are at their home cities, photos from different parts of the country has been captured and displayed. Selection was really a challenge for the teachers.

Best 8 from semester-I and semester- II separately were awarded. Appreciation certificates were given to all.   

An online Parent-teacher meeting has been organized on Saturday, 14th August 2021 for B.Ed. Semester II and Semester IV in the college at 10:30 am. and  around 140 Parents participated in the meeting. The main purpose of meet was to create a common platform, where teacher and parents come together to enrich the student’s educational experiences and discuss variety of issues, regarding all round development of students.  Following were the objectives of the meeting-

Objectives:

  1. To establish one to one communication with Parents for better performance of the student.
  2. To promote welfare of the students in home and in community.
  3. PTM serves as a best platform to share and discuss the problems and issues faced by students.
  4. To mark the achievements and identify the problems faced by the college system.
  5. To report student’s progress and share their strengths and weakness with parents.
  6. To receive the feedback in various domains of teaching-learning.
  7. The meeting was conducted by all the four class teachers in separate links. Students entered in the meeting room with their parents/ guardians as per their allotted time slots and met the respective class teachers. Principal and Vice Principal of the college addressed all the parents and had an interactive session with them.

    The progress of individual student was discussed with the parents. Feedback forms were given to the parents and their suggestions/opinions were noted. The event witnessed enthusiasm from the parents to a great extent. The interaction was very successful. Developing a Plan where the Teacher – Parent together can help the students to work through their difficulties or find ways to ensure continuous development.

Technology can reshape the future of education in big ways, forming new bonds between students and teachers, and with students and the entire learning experience. indulge the students into a healthy thought process and help them understand things from a different perspective. The education research scholars are coming up with new techniques to impart knowledge every day.The introduction of applications in the education sector has led to the introduction of new learning methods. There are fun games available on mobile applications that indulge the students into a healthy thought process and help them understand things from a different perspective. We the students of Educational Technology & Management hosted a workshop of 3 days on TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION IN INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICES i.e.,

from 10th August 2021 to 12th August 2021 under the guidance of Dr. Shraddha Verma Ma’am to learn how to deal with different educational technology applications.

This teacher trainee focused workshop discussed ways to connect with students, share resources, and enrich a course with Educational Apps. We discussed the apps available for mobile devices and how to use them on the go. This workshop introduced teacher trainees to the many uses of Educational Apps for teaching and learning. With its uniquely personal, experiential style of learning, this Workshop helped B.Ed. students for internship.

The session was started with the valuable words by our Respected Principal Dr. Kuldeep Dubey Sir followed by Vice Principal Dr. G. Padma Gouri Ma’am’s encouraging words.

The session carried further with the demonstration of app AR loopa by Mr. Praful Tirkey and Ms. Afsa Tarannum

 AR Loopa - With AR, classroom education can be extraordinary and more interactive, as AR can enable teachers to show virtual examples of concepts and add gaming elements to provide textbook material support. This will enable students to learn faster and memorize information.Ms. Swarna Lal explained the Unite AR app.

 Unite AR - Traditional teaching methods don't fit with online classes. The students may not follow the complex concepts if it is something they cannot relate or experience, AR enabled learning resolves this by connecting the student with the subject.At the end our HOD Mrs. Gayatri Iyengar Ma’am expressed her appreciative views on this workshop.

 Teachmint - Teachmint is an all-in-one education technology platform created specifically for the teachers of the digital age. Combining live classes, student engagement tools as well as various other classroom facilitating features, the platform focuses on creating a deeply immersive online experience.Ms. Heena Banjare and Ms. Shalu Verma of B.Ed 2nd sem shared their thoughts and appreciated this initiative. The session was concluded by gratifying words of our Respected faculties Mrs. Yashaswee Lonkar Ma’am and Mrs. Ramola DanMa’am.

Technology can reshape the future of education in big ways, forming new bonds between students and teachers, and with students and the entire learning experience. indulge the students into a healthy thought process and help them understand things from a different perspective. The education research scholars are coming up with new techniques to impart knowledge every day.The introduction of applications in the education sector has led to the introduction of new learning methods. There are fun games available on mobile applications that indulge the students into a healthy thought process and help them understand things from a different perspective. We the students of Educational Technology & Management hosted a workshop of 3 days on TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION IN INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICES i.e.,

from 10th August 2021 to 12th August 2021 under the guidance of Dr. Shraddha Verma Ma’am to learn how to deal with different educational technology applications.

This teacher trainee focused workshop discussed ways to connect with students, share resources, and enrich a course with Educational Apps. We discussed the apps available for mobile devices and how to use them on the go. This workshop introduced teacher trainees to the many uses of Educational Apps for teaching and learning. With its uniquely personal, experiential style of learning, this Workshop helped B.Ed. students for internship.

    The session was started with the valuable words by our Respected Principal Dr. Kuldeep Dubey Sir followed by Vice Principal Dr. G. Padma Gouri Ma’am’s encouraging words.

    The session carried further with the demonstration of app AR loopa by Mr. Praful Tirkey and Ms. Afsa Tarannum

     AR Loopa - With AR, classroom education can be extraordinary and more interactive, as AR can enable teachers to show virtual examples of concepts and add gaming elements to provide textbook material support. This will enable students to learn faster and memorize information.Ms. Swarna Lal explained the Unite AR app.

     Unite AR - Traditional teaching methods don't fit with online classes. The students may not follow the complex concepts if it is something they cannot relate or experience, AR enabled learning resolves this by connecting the student with the subject.At the end our HOD Mrs. Gayatri Iyengar Ma’am expressed her appreciative views on this workshop.

On 4th April 2019 a new YouTube channel was successfully registered by the students of Educational Technology of B.Ed 2nd semester of St. Vincent Pallotti College.

 

As per the tradition of aquanting the juniors i.e. .Sem 2 of Educational Technology, with the YouTube channel i.e. Colors of Pallotti, process of uploading videos and ideas for creative content, an orientation session  was organized by the students of B.Ed sem4of Educational Technology on Zoom, 55 students attended the orientation.

Also Super Senior Mr. Aayush Gupta very well explained the process and clarified doubts of the juniors.  The orientation included:

  • About Colours of Pallotti 
  • Process to upload YouTube video
  • Benefits of Hash tags & Title Lines. 

Objectives:

The objectives of the activity are:

  1. To make the teacher trainees aware of the technological advancements.
  2. To make students at college connect with others at the digital and social platform.
  3. To make the information regarding college activities easily accessible to all.
  4. To make students aware of the potential of YouTube as a Teaching tool.

 The orientation was a great success under the guidance of Shraddha Mam, who thoroughly motivated us and guided us throughout the process.

Life is better when you are laughing!!

Laughter Yoga is a unique practice that takes the playfulness of laughing and combines it with yoga breathing exercises. Laughter Yoga also known as laughing yoga involves a series of movement and breathing exercises to promote deliberate laughter. It cultivates Childlike Playfulness as we all have a child inside us wanting to laugh and play. “"Laughter Yoga is nothing more than prepping the body and mind for happiness.”

Laughter Yoga session was conducted by H2F CLUB (Health Happiness and Fitness Club) for Sem-I and Sem-IV students.

Objectives of the Activity: -

  • To relieve stress and fight depression
  • To keep our heart healthy
  • To bring out the inner child in you
  • To stimulate immune system and boost immunity
  • To develop positive thoughts and release negativity
  • To bring physical and mental relaxation

Laughter Yoga is a form of yoga for development of mental fitness and stress free environment.

Laughter Yoga session was led by a laughter leader Mrs. Dakshshri Sahu. She explained and gave commands to start and complete different Laughter Exercises. The laughter sessions were more focused on enjoyment, rather than force.

With this fun session we got to know about some new forms of laughter yoga like- Clapping laughter, Breathing laughter, Lassi laughter, Cell phone laughter, Just laugh, Argument laughter and Good job laughter.

The session ended with precious words by our HOD of Education Mrs. R. Gayatri Iyengar who shared her thoughts and appreciated the members of the club. Ms. Nisha Kujur student of IV semester and Ms. Divya Shaily student of II semester of Department of education shared their valuable thoughts and appreciated H2F club for this Laughter Yoga Session.

This session was full of joy and laughter.           

The concept of international yoga day was proposed by the Respected Prime minister of India, MR. NARENDRA MODI. The initiative was established in 2014, and the United Nations declare in December 204 that 21st June will be celebrated as the international yoga day. The first international yoga day was celebrated in Rajpath, NewDelhi and the second international yoga day was celebrated in the city of Chhattisgarh.

St. Vincent palloti celebrates international yoga day with different themes every year. As we know in this pandemic situation it is impossible to meet and celebrate so department of education took initiative to celebrate this day like every year as a tradition virtually.

Department of education of St. Vincent palloti college has celebrated international yoga day on 21st June 2021 virtually in the zoom application.  The activity was conducted with the valuable presence of Respected principal Dr. Kuldeep Dubey, vice principal Dr. G Padma Gauri, HOD of education department Dr. Gayatri Iyengar, sports sir and Yoga teacher Mr. Anil Kumar chandrakar along with 100 students. The event took place with the precious words of Respected principal and HOD Ma’am. Respected principal explained the importance of yoga in this pandemic and how it balances our daily routine. The theme of the event was disclosed by the HOD Ma’am “yoga for wellness”

 

The event was then started by the yoga teacher Mr. Anil Kumar chandrakar with the chanting of OM. Various yoga postures which are beneficial for daily life was taught by the sir.Also, sir was explaining the benefits of Asanas and postures to everyone. tips of healthy lifestyle were given by the sir.Also,everyone was instructed to perform by switching on the video.

At last, a memorable screenshot was taken as the photo session and the event was refreshing and motivating.

During this hard times of lockdown, Literary Club organized a activity “Hasya Kavi Sammelan” to bring smiles and laughter for all. In the activity 92 students  participated and 11 students performed  , who came up with funny content and were successful in spreading happiness and laughter. Poems included all spheres of life in comic and satirical  manner which created punch and laughter even on deep topics. Topics of corona and recent challenges  were also included and appreciated.

The activity was conducted on Zoom in the gracious presence of Principal  -Dr.kuldeep Dubey, Vice Principal -Dr.G.Padma Gouri , HOD of Dept. of Education -Mrs. Gayatri Iyengar, teachers along with students from the B.Ed department.

 

The activity created a light and happy mood among all and everybody enjoyed it a lot. It was a great attempt under the guidance of Mrs. Bani Saha and literary club members and were successful in bringing joy and smiles.
