Department of Management, St. VincentPallotti College, Raipur organized a one day Industrial Visit to ‘Ganesh BakersPvt. Ltd. (A manufacturing unit of the Parle- G Biscuits), in Saddu, Raipur,for its students on Monday, 22.10.2024. The visit aimed to provide studentswith practical insights into the operations of food production facility. Theunit specializes in producing Parle- G biscuits, a household name in India.
The visit commenced with a warm welcome by thePlant Manager who introduced the students to the history of Parle-G. Thestudents were then guided through the various sections of the production unit,starting from the mixing of ingredients, dough preparation, baking, cooling,and automated packaging, along with quality control measures implemented ateach stage to ensure product consistency.
The highlight of the visit was oven andpackaging section, where students witnessed the massive production machines inaction. The deafening sound of the machines and the synchronized movement of therollers left the students astonished of the technological marvels that enablethe mass production of around 70 tons per day of different packaging size ofParle-G biscuits.
Ms. Aanchal Mishra In charge of ManagementDepartment, the coordinator of the visit and her team expressed their gratitudeto the Manager of the plant for the hospitality and for providing the studentswith a memorable learning experience. She emphasized the importance of suchindustrial visits in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge andpractical applications in the field of management.
Overall, the industrial visit to theGanesh Bakers Pvt. Ltd. was a resounding success, leaving the students inspiredand enlightened about the intricacies of the food production facility. It servedas a valuable learning opportunity and marked the importance ofindustry-academic collaborations in enhancing the educational experience ofstudents.
