2021-22

The theme for International Yoga Day in 2022 is ‘Yoga for Humanity’, which is intended at bringing to light the physical, mental, and emotional state of people. The theme was selected with the aim to inspire the yoga community for global development. The theme for this year was announced by Honorable PM Narendra Modi on 30th May during the show ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Involving yourself in Yoga not only benefits the mind and body but also instills love and compassion towards one another. Yoga Day is celebrated among the youth and children to make them understand the importance of Yoga in their life. It helps an individual to understand how to maintain harmony between body and mind. On the occasion of International Yoga Day, St.Vincent Pallotti College organized a special program for students & teachers to spread awareness and involve more & more people in Yoga and Meditation.

The function began with a brief introduction of Yoga Day by Asst.Prof. Mrs.Garima Tahiliani. A brief introduction of the dignitories,Director Rev.Father Amit Tirkey, Principal Dr.Kuldeep Dubey and Vice Principal Dr.G Padma Gouri of St.Vincent Pallotti College was given at the beginning of the program.The program was lead by Principal Dr.Kuldeep Dubey, he took the initiative and started the session with great enthusiasm.

Principal Dr.Kuldeep Dubey explained the importance of Yoga in the life of people. He explained that regular practice of Yoga will help the individuals to achieve better mental and physical health. He started Yoga demonstrations with the Yoga prayer. After which a few warm up and simple Asanas were performed by the students and the teachers enthusiastically and the importance of these Asanas was explained simultaneously by the Principal.

The program was concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs.Garima Tahiliani.

Each year, on 1 December, the world commemorates World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses. World AIDS Day remains as relevant today as it’s always been; reminding people and governments that HIV has not gone away. There is still a critical need for increased funding for the AIDS response, to increase awareness of the impact of HIV on people’s lives, to end stigma and discrimination and to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV a session on AIDS/HIV Awareness Program under the banner of Red Ribbon Club was organised by St.Vincent Pallotti College,Raipur on 16.12.2021. The Chief guest of the Session was Mrs.Neetu Madavi Assistant Director Youth Affairs,Chattisgarh State AIDS Control Society,Kalibadi Raipur. The other dignitaries present were Principal Dr.Kuldeep Dubey, Asst.Director Rev.Father Roshan Kindo, Mr.Girish Chandra NCC Constable, and Special Days Committee Convener Mrs.Garima Tahiliani of St.Vincent Pallotti College, Raipur.

The Principal Dr.Kuldeep Dubey welcomed the guest with his beautiful words and shared his words of wisdom with all members present.

The chief guest addressed all the students & faculty members. She shared valuable information related to AIDS/HIV with everyone. She highlighted on the major causes of HIV and about the preventive measures to control virus. Overall it was a very informative session.

St.Vincent Pallotti College celebrates Hindi Diwas  every year on 14th september to spread awareness about importance of Hindi language. This year " Hindi Diwas" was celebrated on 16th September.Special days & Staff Association Committee had organized poster making competition for all the students.The theme of competition was " Hindi humari pehchan humara garv". The students participated earnestly in the competition; they came up with amazing ideas.Their efforts & initiative was appreciated by everyone.


St. Vincent Pallotti College celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas in collaboration with Green Army of Raipur on 26th January 2021 to honour the Kargil War Heros. The chief guest of the occassion was CA Amitabh Dubey founder of Green Army Raipur, other eminent guests were Mr. Vatsalya murti, President, Shankar Nagar Zone, Green Army, Dr. Ananya Mishra Zonal Secretary, Shankar Nagar Zone. The other notable dignitaries present were Ms. Ranjana Agrawal Zone in charge, Ms. Ratri Lehri Youth Wing President, Green Army, Asst Director Rev. Father Roshan Kindo, Principal Dr. Kuldeep Dubey, Vice Principal Dr. G. Padma Gauri, all faculty members and NCC Cadets of St. Vincent Pallotti College, Raipur.

The college took initiative to pay tribute to our soldiers by conducting a plantation drive with Green Army of Raipur to embrace the ocassion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
