Parents - Teacher Meeting

The Department of Computer Science organized a Parents-Teacher Meeting for all BCA students - a crucial event aimed at fostering effective communication between faculty and parents regarding student progress and institutional feedback. The meeting served as a meaningful platform to promote open dialogue and collaboration between educators and parents. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the Head of the Department, Dr. Pooja Rathi. During the meeting, the Principal of the College, Dr. Kuldeep Dubey, emphasized the importance of parental involvement in their child’s education and encouraged active participation in the discussions. Vice-Principal Dr. G. Padma Gouri highlighted that joint efforts by faculty and parents play a vital role in nurturing academic excellence and personal growth.

In this Parents-Teacher Meeting, class Teachers of BCA classes met individually with Parents, discussing each student's progress, academic achievements,attendance, and overall conduct. Parents had the opportunity to provide valuable feedback to improve their child's learning experience. This meeting also served as a platform for parents to express their views on the college's offerings, teaching methodologies, and facilities. Their feedback was diligently noted, reflecting the college's dedication to continuous improvement and ensuring a conducive learning environment.


Industrial Visit

The Department of Computer Science organized an “Industrial Visit” to Sarda Dairy & Food Product Ltd. Plant & Farm at Kharora, Raipur on Saturday,September 27, 2025, to provide students with practical exposure and bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world productions.

During a visit to Vachan Dairy,accompanied by faculty, students learned about the workflow and emerging technologies, including milk collection, pasteurization, packaging, and distribution. The visit included an orientation on industrial discipline,teamwork, and hygiene and safety measures. HOD Dr. Pooja Rathi commended the successful organization of the visit, highlighting the enthusiasm of both students and faculty support.


Guest Lecture on Career Path in IT sector and role of AI tools in Software Development

TheDepartment of Computer Science organized a Guest Lecture on “Career Path in ITSector and the Role of AI Tools in Software Development” to guide students onIT career opportunities and essential skills. The session was led by Mr. SurajSingh, an IT professional from Bangalore.The program began with Dr. PoojaRathi, Head of the Department, introducing Mr. Suraj Singh and highlighting thesignificance of the topic for Computer Science students.

Duringthe lecture, Mr. Singh emphasized core programming skills and key subjectscrucial for securing placements in reputed IT companies. He also discussed thegrowing role of AI tools in software development, explaining how thesetechnologies enhance productivity, efficiency, and problem-solving. Hisinsights motivated students to focus on both academic excellence and practicalapplication in their career journey.The event concluded with Dr. Kuldeep Dubey,Principal, Dr. G. Padma Gouri, Vice Principal, and Dr. Pooja Rathi presenting aThank You memento to Mr. Suraj Singh. The lecture was successfully executedwith the dedicated efforts of the Computer Science faculty.


Quiz Competition

TheDepartment of Computer Science organized a "Quiz Competition" tonurture a competitive environment and encourage students to think creativelybeyond their syllabus. Four groups participated: Team Dabangg, TheRockStars, Humse Badhkar Kaun, and Yaaron Ka Kafila, each with fivestudents. The competition consisted of four rounds—General Awareness,Technical Knowledge, Identify by Picture, and Numbers & Pattern.

TeamThe RockStars emerged as the winners, while Team Dabangg was therunner-up, with both teams displaying impressive skills and receivingcertificates. The event concluded with an address by HOD Dr. Pooja Rathi,acknowledging the efforts of the faculty in making the activity a success.


Friendship Day Celebration

"Friendship is not about whom you have known thelongest. It's about who came, and never left your side." Every year, wecelebrate Friendship Day on the first Sunday of August. This year, it had beenobserved on August 3d, but as that day was Sunday, so we celebrated it onSaturday, August 2nd, 2025. Various games, fun and rejoicing activities hadbeen planned by Department of Computer Science. All of the activities havewitnessed active student participation. The primary goal of this program was toboost the teacher-student relationship. Interaction of the students among themself was another objective of the program.

The first game was "Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes andCup" in which the students face each other forming two vertical lines andthe leader calls out parts of the body like Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes etc.randomly. When a part of the body is called the participants must touch thatpart with both hands. As soon as the leader calls out the word Cup, the playerhas to pick the cup up. The player that picks up the cup wins, the playerwithout the cup is eliminated.

The third game was "Back-to-Back Balloon Hold", inwhich two students stood back-to-back with a balloon between them and tried tomove together to the finish line without dropping or popping the balloon. Teamsraced to the finish line, with the first team to arrive without dropping theballoon being declared the winner.

The second game was "The Number Game". This gamewas a perfect icebreaking activity to energize the students and fill the roomwith smiles. In this game, various groups were created, each with ten players.The pupils were given the numbers 0 to 9, and they were to arrange them usingthe provided numbers. The team which was arranged first was the winning team.After the game activities, the students tied friendship bands to each other andexchanged warm wishes. This event was appreciated and enjoyed by all thestudents.

All the teachers of Computer Science Department have workedhard towards the planning and execution of the event. The program ended up witha gratitude and encouraging message by HOD, Dr. Pooja Rathi.

2025-26

Sports are not just about winning trophies. They are about building character,teamwork, and the spirit to never give up.” Every year, our Departmentorganizes Outdoor Sports activity to promote physical fitness, teamwork, andhealthy competition. This year, it was scheduled on Friday, August 8th, 2025,with great enthusiasm on the free zone.

The Department of Computer Science, Incollaboration with Physical Education Department, planned a series of outdoorgames including Pass It On, Quick Pick, and Dodge Ball.

The primary aim ofthe activity was to encourage physical well-being and unity among students,while also instilling discipline and team spirit.

 

The Pass It On gamewas played between two teams. The players of both teams had to stand in a line,and each team had to pass the ball between their feet as quickly as possible.The team that passed the ball first was declared the winner.

 

Two teamsplayed a Quick Pick game. One player from each team came forward to try to pick up theball. The player who picked up the ball had to hand it over to their teammate.However, if a player from the opposite team touched them before they could handover the ball, they were out, and the opposite team scored points. The teamthat handed over the ball the maximum number of times without getting out wasdeclared the winner.

 

The Dodge Ball game was conductedin which there were two teams. At a time, the players of one team stood forminga circle, while the players of the other team stayed inside the circle. Theteam forming the circle tried to eliminate opponents by hitting them with asoft ball. The game continued until all members of one team were eliminated.The team that managed to hit the most players in the least amount of time wasdeclared the winner.

The activity hasbeen properly planned and executed by the Computer Science Department’sfaculty. HOD Dr. Pooja Rathi gave an encouraging and cheerful message to wrapup the event.


Department of Computer Science had organized 1-week Workshop on “Computer Hardware and Maintenance” in association with GLOBAL Computer Institute, Raipur. This was a comprehensive Training Program designed for BCA and PGDCA. The training aimed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to computer hardware components, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

The Expert speaker was Mr. Pramod Pal, Director of GLOBAL Computer Institute. During his sessions, participants learned about the different parts of a computer system such as motherboard, processor, RAM, storage devices, SMPS, and peripherals. Practical demonstrations included system assembly, installation of operating systems, driver configuration, and methods of diagnosing common hardware faults. Special focus was given to maintenance techniques like dust cleaning, thermal paste application, and safe handling of components.

The training also covered preventive measures to ensure longer life of computer systems and techniques for identifying and replacing faulty parts. Hands-on practice sessions gave participants confidence in dealing with real-world problems related to computer hardware.

Overall, the training was highly informative and beneficial. It enhanced the technical skills of participants and encouraged them to apply the knowledge in academic as well as professional fields. We express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Pramod Pal for his effective teaching and valuable guidance throughout the program.

The Computer Hardware and Maintenance workshop was a valuable initiative that empowered students with useful technical skills. Principal of the college Dr. Kuldeep Dubey expressed his gratitude to Mr. Pramod Pal. All the teachers of the Computer Science Department have worked hard towards the planning and execution of the event. The program was concluded with a gratitude note given by Dr. Pooja Rathi, Head of the Department.

Departmentof Computer Science had organized an orientation program “#include<परंपरा.CS>”for BCA, M.Sc and PGDCA students with the aim to familiarize them to thecollege campus environment, facilities and infrastructure. Orientation Program helpsstudents to make essential connection with studies and develop network amongother peers.

Theevent was graced by Hon’ble Principal Dr. Kuldeep Dubey, Vice Principal Dr. G.Padma Gouri and Head of Department Dr. Pooja Rathi and the Faculty members.

Dr.Pooja Rathi, initiated the program by extending a warm welcome to the studentsand introducing them to their new surroundings. She gave her welcome speechwhich strongly motivated students to never lose hope in their dreams and alwaysdream big.

PrincipalDr. Kuldeep Dubey’s inspired the students to know their worth and to makestrong connection with their friends and teachers. He taught students the valueof college life.

Lastbut not the least, Vice Principal Dr. G. Padma Gouri motivated the students tobe strong in every situation and to have faith in themselves. In her address,she emphasis the theme word “# Include” and “परंपराwith respect to computer science department andnicely described how to inculcate this in the college life.

Thiswas followed by the dance performance of PGDCA student and BCA students. Toconclude the event Ms. Meeraj Parveen form BCA III Semester delivered the voteof thanks. The program was well executed with the help of faculties of ComputerScience Department Mrs. Abhilasha Khare, Ms. Neha Sahu, Mrs. Shivangi Pandeyand Ms. Divya Verma.


The Department ofComputer Science organized the "Treasure Hunt" activity. The primarygoal of the treasure hunt was to guide teams through a series of clues leadingto a hidden treasure. The event aimed to test students’ problem-solving skills,teamwork, and ability to think creatively under pressure.

Five groups were made,each group consisting of 4 students, and the team names were Team A, Team B,Team C, Team D, and Team E.

These teams used theirprovided hints to start on their journey. Five clues were given to each team,and the first that solved the clue and reached the destination won.This highly entertaining game was won by the team E, its members were VanshikaGupta, Alisha Kujur, Amit Dubey, and Harshal Solanki and they were alsoawarded medals.

Thefaculty of the Computer Science Department has attentively planned and carriedout the activity.  HOD Dr. Pooja Rathiconcluded the event with a positive and enthusiastic address.
