Traffic Awareness Programme

On the occasion of National RoadSafety Week, our organization conducted a road safety awareness campaign. Roadsafety is a major public concern due to the increasing number of road accidentscaused by negligence, violation of traffic rules, non-use of helmets, andmobile phone usage while driving. To address this issue and create awarenessamong the general public, a Traffic Awareness Programme was organizedwith the objective of promoting safe and responsible road behaviour. The mainobjectives of the Traffic Awareness Programme to educate people about theimportance of following traffic rules, to create awareness about compulsoryhelmet use and seat belts, to discourage the use of mobile phones whiledriving. During the programme, various awareness activities were carried out,including: Display of slogans and placards on road safety. Short interactionswith vehicle drivers. Traffic rules were explained to the public with the aimof promoting safe and responsible behaviour on the road. Special emphasis waslaid on the importance of wearing helmets to prevent serious injuries and savelives. Helmet users were positively motivated and appreciated for followingsafety norms. To strengthen this behaviour, Positive reinforcementtheory was applied by rewarding helmet users with flowers. This act ofpositive reinforcement encouraged safe driving habits and motivated others toadopt the practice of wearing helmets regularly. The activity created awarenessin a friendly manner and reinforced the message that obeying traffic rules isboth responsible and commendable. Awareness was created amongtwo-wheeler riders who were not using helmets and among drivers using mobilephones while driving by offering placards displaying helmet photo & clearsafety messages to highlight the dangers of riding without helmets and usingmobile phones on the road. The volunteers politely advised such road users towear helmets regularly and to strictly avoid using mobile phones while driving.

On the occasion of National RoadSafety Week, a rally was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Kuldeep Dubey, andthe Vice Principal, Dr. G. Padma Gouri, at the college. After that, the rallyproceeded to Turning Point, Shankar Nagar. Through direct interaction, visual messages, andfriendly counselling, the activity aimed to bring about behavioral change andpromote road safety. The Traffic Awareness Programmewas successfully conducted and achieved its objectives. Such initiatives play avital role in reducing road accidents and saving lives. 


Walkathon

On the occasionof World Heart Day, MMI Narayana Hospital organized the 14th editionof its annual Walkathon with the theme “Let’s Take a Step Towards BetterHeart Health”, in which St. Vincent Pallotti College actively participatedthrough its Extension and Charity Committee. The event began at 6:00 AM atBhagat Singh Chowk with a Zumba session to energize participants, followed byan address by doctors from Narayana Hospital on heart care and healthy living.The hospital’s core team provided T-shirts to all participants, includingstudents and staff members, creating a sense of unity and enthusiasm. At 7:30AM, the Walkathon started towards Telibandha and returned to Bhagat SinghChowk, spreading the message of awareness about heart health and the importanceof staying fit.

The Walkathonsuccessfully combined fitness, awareness, and community participation,inspiring all to adopt healthier lifestyles and reinforcing the importance ofcaring for one’s heart.


A Blood Donation Camp was organized on 22ndSeptember 2025 in the AVA Room, in collaboration with the Arogyavandana MedicalResearch Foundation. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from bothstudents and staff members, who came forward to donate blood for this noblecause.

Special mention must be made of the NCC andNSS students, who actively took part in the camp, setting an inspiring examplefor their peers. A total of 34 units of blood were successfully collectedduring the drive. All the donors were honored with certificates and neckbands,provided by the Arogyavandana Medical Research Foundation, as a token ofappreciation for their contribution.

The team of doctors and medical experts fromthe foundation also conducted an awareness session, where they highlighted thehealth benefits of blood donation, its role in saving lives, and the importanceof contributing to society through such acts of service.

The event was graced by the presence ofPrincipal and Vice Principal, whose encouragement added great value to theinitiative. With the support of the management, staff, and students, the campconcluded successfully, spreading the spirit of compassion, service, andhumanity.
